Electrical System Fundamentals

The participant can:

• Name basic variables and describe their relationships
• Name components in the truck and describe their function
• Apply current Mercedes-Benz test and measurement equipment, service literature and workshop information systems (WIS) in a targeted manner for maintenance, diagnosis and repair
• Carry out testing, adjustment and repair work with digital multimeters, star diagnosis, including measurement technology – (HMS990), oscilloscope and diagnostic assistance system (DAS) on electric truck systems
• Describe the structure and function of various sensors and actuators and name and apply the corresponding measurement and testing options
• Reliably detect and correct resistances and interruptions in electrical cables and connections
• Carry out a goal-oriented troubleshooting of electrical and electronic components
