You will receive basic information on electricity and building a charging infrastructure for eTrucks.

The program includes three chapters:

  • Fundamentals and prerequisites
  • Charging technology and charging infrastructure
  • Electrification of a depot

 

After successful completion of this course the participant:

  • Can describe the fundamentals of electricity and name the basic units of electrical variables.
  • Can describe the AC and DC charging and specify the components involved in the charging process of an eTruck from Mercedes Benz
  • Can calculate the theoretical and actual charging duration
  • Can describe the European charging plugs and vehicle sockets as well as the charging process
  • Can describe mobile, temporary and stationary charging stations, also differentiate between integrated charging systems
  • Can describe the design of a customer’s own charging infrastructure
  • Can describe possible charging scenarios
  • Can name the basic components of a charging infrastructure for eTrucks and their connection to the power grid
  • Can describe the design of an exemplary depot and its power supply
  • Can determine the required connection load of a depot
  • Can describe the advantages of a digital charging management system
