    Programme Overview & Outcomes
    This programme provides participants with a clear, practical foundation in project
    management, equipping them with the knowledge, tools, and techniques required to
    initiate, plan, deliver, and close projects successfully. Participants will gain an
    understanding of the full project life cycle, how projects align with programmes and
    portfolios, and how to manage stakeholders, resources, risks, and teams. By the end of
    the programme, participants will be able to plan and control projects effectively,
    communicate with confidence, and apply learning directly to their own project
    environments.

    • Projects, Programmes & Portfolios – Understanding the project context, life cycles,
    key success factors, and how projects fit within wider organisational delivery.
    • Initiating Projects Effectively – Defining objectives, scope, stakeholders, business
    cases, and agreeing clear roles and responsibilities.
    • Planning Projects – Developing robust project plans using work, product and
    organisational breakdown structures, schedules, milestones, risk management, and
    quality considerations.
    • Resourcing & Estimating – Applying techniques for estimating resources, building
    fully resourced plans, and using resource histograms and levelling.
    • Leading, Communicating & Controlling – Building and developing project teams,
    communicating effectively with stakeholders, and monitoring and controlling
    progress using practical tools and techniques.
    • Closing, Handover & Learning – Managing effective handover to operations, closing
    projects professionally, capturing lessons learned, and creating individual action
    plans.
