You will receive basic information on electricity and building a charging infrastructure for eTrucks.
The program includes three chapters:
- Fundamentals and prerequisites
- Charging technology and charging infrastructure
- Electrification of a depot
After successful completion of this course the participant:
- Can describe the fundamentals of electricity and name the basic units of electrical variables.
- Can describe the AC and DC charging and specify the components involved in the charging process of an eTruck from Mercedes Benz
- Can calculate the theoretical and actual charging duration
- Can describe the European charging plugs and vehicle sockets as well as the charging process
- Can describe mobile, temporary and stationary charging stations, also differentiate between integrated charging systems
- Can describe the design of a customer’s own charging infrastructure
- Can describe possible charging scenarios
- Can name the basic components of a charging infrastructure for eTrucks and their connection to the power grid
- Can describe the design of an exemplary depot and its power supply
- Can determine the required connection load of a depot
- Can describe the advantages of a digital charging management system
- Can describe the planning effort for the electrification of a depot
